Janie Easley Ballard, a gifted artist proficient in watercolor, collage, acrylic, and photography, originates from the sun-kissed landscapes of California. Janie and her husband now live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Her lifelong love of art was nurtured by a supportive family that recognized and encouraged her innate talent. In high school a cherished art teacher sparked her inspiration and guided her passion. Selling her inaugural painting during those early years marked the beginning of a creative odyssey that has flourished in her retirement. Janie’s art is a reflection of her love of nature—drawing inspiration from the intricate details of flowers, color hues, and the captivating interplay of sunlight and shadows. Her palette, rich with vibrant colors, echoes the beauty and wonder of nature. For Janie, the process of creating something beautiful is an artful exploration, a means to capture and share the profound beauty that is all around us.
Janie is a member of the Poulsbo Artists League and the Port Ludlow Art League in Washington State.
